A room truly filled with so much love and support – Oh and so much laughter – They organised their own Bongo Bingo. I have to say it’s one of the best entertainments I’ve seen at a wedding, also there was plenty of photo opportunities too…
I could do a blog just on the Bongo Bingo, everyone took part and loved it.

The speeches were heart felt and quite emotional. If you could hear Sammy’s Son and then Kane’s son speeches….happy tears would be streaming. There was love, respect and so much appreciation it was absolutely beautiful.

Coniston Hotel Wedding – Brenda and Kevin had their wedding all planned in 2020 then we all know what happened covid! They tried to rearrange their wedding but it just wasn’t to be. So in one of those small gaps where very small weddings were allowed they took the plunge and said their I Do’s. A very Bijou and intermate wedding took place at Skipton Registry Office and then on Coniston Hotel for a few photos and a meal.

Ray and I were not permitted inside Skipton Registry Office due to covid restrictions. So we patiently waited outside until the I do’s had taken place. There were just two witnesses Kevin’s sister and her husband a very romantic bijou wedding.

Festival Wedding – Melissa and James took a chance and changed their wedding date to the 21st of June 2021. The day Lockdown restrictions were to be lifted YAY. Luck was with them, the wedding they had been planning and dreaming about could go ahead, with as many guests as they wished for. 
It was an early start for all at the cottage Melissa and her bridesmaids were staying, along with Ray Walmsley Films and Gemma Suckley who later joined James and all the groomsmen for thier morning preparations.
There’s so many parts and details to this amazing wedding, including myself and Ray being asked to be the witnesses …. What and honour! I feel the best thing to do is let the photos tell there wedding day story… it’s been hard to choose.

In 2020 I had the honour of documenting Hannah and Ali’s handfasting it was such an intimate and romantic day.
A year later I was photographing them again, this time their official I Do’s.

I joined Hannah and her bridesmaids getting ready at her parents house. It was a wonderful and chilled morning, with lots of laughter and chatting… Oh and quite a spread for brunch too.

I left Hannah having a lovely morning to meet with Ali and his family at All Hallows Church in Mitton. It was a wonderful surprise to so many friends gathered to watch the wedding. There was still restrictions in place only small weddings happening at this time, so it was extra special to see all these amazing friends outside.

Maria Dobson Cake Designs

Wedding cakes by Maria Dobson Cake Design who doesn’t like cake? Well there may be a few of you but I’m not one of them I’m a cake lover! I also really enjoy taking photos of them too, all those intricate beautiful details.

Maria Dobson wedding cakes are full of beautiful details and the planning and care and attention that goes into them is quite incredible

I’ve now got quite a collection of images of cakes by Maria and thought they were more than worthy of a blog. The first cake Maria did for me it was a 1920s Gatsby theme cake for my style Photoshoot you can see HERE at Eaves Hall.

The next photo shoot I contacted Maria to see if she would like her cake photographing. We decided Whalley Abbey was a destination for the next beautiful cake.

The next cake photo shoot was at Mitton Hall. This time we had a theme it was based on my favourite Shakespeare play Midsummer‘s nights dream. Which is a comedy around marriage and love.

Maria likes to study and create her own interpretation for her cakes and starts with research and sketching. Then the the cake starts to take shape. I have to say the Midsummer‘s night dream cake is secretly my favourite perhaps not such a secret anymore oops.

I’ve also been asked to Marie is home to photographs her wonderful cake creations. I’ve also been Lucky enough to photograph her cakes as a couple of weddings too.

It’s lovely having friends in the wedding world and I hope our paths keep crossing many times in the future.. possibly in Scotland too. We both love it there.

So less talk and more cake.

The Out Barn Wedding Photography
Lucy and Ryan have been together seven year (8 now). They celebrated their wedding at The Out Barn which was filled  with family and friends, so much love, happiness and many hugs!
Family and friends was definitely the priority of the day. Photos of guests enjoying themselves and lots of laughter. Lucy and Ryan wanted to spend as much time as they could with everyone and as little time as possible having photos taken. The few group photos taken were relaxed and casual, more or less spontaneous you could say.
Lucy and Ryan are surrounded by so much love. They have their priorities right in my option, family and friends are the jewels in our lives and spending time with them is so very precious.

We left Ryan and Lucy after the speeches, food was served in-between speeches which kept us on our toes.
